Rank your rolls.
Climb the ladder.

Most rolls are forgotten the moment they end. Roll for Rating gives them consequences - a rating that climbs when you win and drops when you don't, like a chess rating for the mats.

No more guessing who's leveling up. Let the mats decide.

ROR /rɔːr/

Your ROR ("roar") is your rating — it rises and falls with every win, loss, and draw. The higher your ROR, the higher you climb. Earned on the mat, not claimed online.

Questions

What is ROR?

ROR is your rating - short for Roll for Rating, and it rhymes with "roar." It's an Elo-style number that goes up when you win and down when you lose, so it reflects skill you've earned on the mat rather than self-reported belts or claims.

How are matches verified?

Matches happen in person. Both grapplers agree to the match in the app, and a neutral third person referees and records the result. Both sides confirm, so the rating only moves on witnessed, in-person rolls.

Is it gi or no-gi?

Both. Roll for Rating works for any Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or grappling match — gi, no-gi, or submission-only.

Is it free?

Yes — Roll for Rating is free to download and use. We'll always keep the core rating and leaderboards free.

Can kids use it?

Younger grapplers are welcome with protections. Accounts for members under 18 need a parent or guardian's approval before competing, and under-14 accounts are managed by a parent with extra privacy — never public, never searchable.

Where can I get it?

Roll for Rating is out now on the App Store for iPhone. Android is in testing and coming to Google Play soon.
