ROR is your rating - short for Roll for Rating, and it rhymes with "roar." It's an Elo-style number that goes up when you win and down when you lose, so it reflects skill you've earned on the mat rather than self-reported belts or claims.
Matches happen in person. Both grapplers agree to the match in the app, and a neutral third person referees and records the result. Both sides confirm, so the rating only moves on witnessed, in-person rolls.
